The Mission

Giving turns ordinary money into CHANGE!
At Co-op Services Credit Union, we believe that the act of giving changes everything. That's why we launched Project 100. Over the next few months, we're giving 100 people, 100 dollars over 100 days. It's our way of helping Southeast Michigan by encouraging people to give to others. There are no requirements and no strings attached. All we ask is that each recipient gives in any way they can, to make the community a better place.

You can join Project 100 and Co-op Services Credit Union in our mission by getting involved in your community and helping out in any way you can.

What is Project 100?

Over the next few months, Project 100 will be visiting 100 random people throughout Southeast Michigan and giving each of them a single 100-dollar bill. What's the catch? There isn't one. Recipients can do whatever they wish with the money. All we ask is that each person thinks about what they can do to make the community a better place - whether it's volunteering for a community event or helping out a neighbor in need. The act itself doesn't matter, because any act of giving, no matter how small, can spark change.

Know someone who could use 100 Dollars?

Simply visit our web site at www.whatisproject100.com, tell us why they could use the money and sign them up! They could be the next Project 100 recipient.

What can you do?

It's something to think about. It can be as simple as passing out water at a marathon, helping to clean up a public park, donating to a charity, or just helping someone in need. Remember, the act itself doesn't matter, just that you do something. Your act alone can create a spark for change.

This is just the beginning...

Be sure to check out the rest of the web site as the Project 100 team blogs about their experiences giving out $100-dollar bills, while also offering insightful, creative ways that you can give in your community. In addition, our video archive will feature clips of some 100-dollar recipients so that you can see how a small act of giving can make a big difference.
